Significant progress in the building the produciton line of aerospace-grade wide-width titanium alloy plate.

●  On June 27, 2023, good news came from the production line building project for the aerospace-grade wide-width titanium alloy plate. The 1850mm four-roller reversible hot rolling machine unit carried out the trial rolling of the GR5 titanium alloy plate, and successfully rolled the 240mm thickness titanium alloy slab to 110mm semi-finished product. It signs a major progress in the building the production line of aerospace-grade wide-width titanium alloy plate .

●  It is reported that the production line of aerospace-grade wide-width titanium alloy plate is a provincial-level key project invested and built by Baotai. Products are mainly used in national defense, aerospace, shipbuilding, ocean engineering and other fields, providing high-quality material guarantee for national security, and aviation and aerospace.

●  The project started in 2021. The project realized the official power supply on April 14, 2023; the whole line transmission was opened on May 12; the 9mm pure titanium plate was rolled successfully on June 9; the TA15 alloy billet trial rolling was successful on June 26,2023 and the TC4 alloy billet trial rolling was successful on June 27,2023. The successful one-time trial running of these two alloy plates not only marks a new breakthrough in project building, but also marks the first domestic set of 1850mm titanium alloy sheet rolling and hot-rolling unit with independent intellectual property rights has initially achieved production capacity, completely getting rid of the long-term dependence on imports for the key technology of the plate rolling production line.

●  In the next step, the project team will further optimize the control system on the existing basis, and at the same time strive to achieve new breakthroughs in the digitization and information construction of the project, and make new contributions to the company's high-quality development.
